30082013: Ready to Rock!

After months of searching, I've finally bought a black and white striped jeans. Perhaps you're thinking why it took so long, finally, there was the pants almost everywhere. But the problem was, that most pants looked a bit strange (no idea why?)
At Vero Moda I finally got my dream pants and also a vest in leather look with studs (on which I had also thrown the eye for quite a while). I think both as an outfit together is just really great and perfect for the current weather!

If I tell you now, that I dyed newly purchased shoes, you think I might be crazy! But from the beginning:

Ever since I saw the first wedges sneaker from Adidas in Vogue, I was a big fan of them. But then the Shops were full of them and my enthusiasm slowly disappeared. But when I´d saw wedges of Limelight during our clearance sale of the shoe store Roland, I had to buy them. Although the yellow colour was really horrible, I decided to buy the shoes for 8 € (original 30 €) (the price is a joke, isn´t it?). Of course, at this moment I had the idea to dye it black, so I went straight to Rossmann to buy the colour. Incidentally, the same that I had used for my dip dye T-Shirts as well.

Returning home I started working . The risk that the shoes do not withstand the hot water from the dyeing, I have made and thankfully, the sole has not replaced and the wedges have not warped. I'm proceed like color normal clothes. Giving the powder in hot water, shoes in and turn the shoes from time to time. Drawn about a half hour, than the wedges wouldn´t have endured it. Already during the dyeing I've noticed that the shoes didn´t take the color. First there was a dark green. When washing it turns to bright green. Fortunately, at least the bodies, which are from a different cloth, were stained black.
So, the end result is green wedges with black highlights. That's not quite what I wanted, but I really like it!

Starker Auftritt! Experimentelles Schuhdesign

Daumen hoch!
Hier noch ein kleiner Einblick:

Today I was finally in the shoe design exhibition, which is still running in the Leipzig Grassi Museum until the end of September. Exhibited are about 100 designs from around the world. The creations range from dangerously high stillettos, heels of guns to animal shark heels or useful rootbrush-sandals . As materials there were used  paper, futuristic high-tech materials, ceramic, wood, glass, elephant dung and of course leather and textile. Of course, not all the shoes are wearable (it's more about the art), but some exhibits were already used for outfits of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé!
According to the "Little Black Dress Exhibition" in Paris, I naturally had high expectations for this show - but I´m really pleasantly surprised. The shoes were beautifully presented and you can really spend time on the exhibition, beacause you can watch two films too.
Here's a little insight:
